Paint Mist

During the painting process, paint mist splashes or falls on the painted surface or paint film (in the form of virtual fog), which affects the gloss and appearance of the paint film. If there is a different color paint mist, it is called fog pollution.

Reason:

(1) The spraying operation is incorrect, such as the distance between the spray gun and the surface to be coated is too far, the spray flow is not perpendicular to the surface to be coated, etc.

(2) The distance between the coated parts is too close.

(3) The air flow in the spraying room is chaotic and the wind speed is too low (less than 0.3m/s), which should be above 0.5m/s in the case of manual spraying.

(4) Uncovered surfaces not to be painted.

Prevention:

(1) Correct incorrect spraying operation.

(2) A sufficient distance should be left between the parts to be coated to prevent splashing. Taking the car body as an example, the distance should not be less than 1.5m, and the spraying direction should be correct.

(3) The airflow in the spray booth should have a certain direction, and the wind speed should not be less than 0.3m/s in the case of electrostatic spraying, and should be more than 0.5m/s in the case of manual spraying.

(4) The surface that does not need to be painted should be covered, especially when spraying different-color paint and repairing spraying.
